Brea has been caring for animals since a very young age – from birds, frogs, guinea pigs and dogs! After moving to the Central Phoenix area she found two abandoned newborn kittens under her backyard shed and she’s been hooked on cat rescue ever since. Raising those two kittens helped her become aware of how many community cats live in our neighborhoods, and how much they depend on our help to live happy and healthy lives. Since then she has become very involved in Trap-Neuter-Return in her own neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods in the Phoenix area – in her own colony trapping over 15 cats and socializing 7 kittens! She has a passion for rehabilitating and socializing feral kittens so they can find their forever homes indoors.
Brea is a graduate of Fordham University in New York with a BS in Information Sciences. She works as a software engineer and in her free time enjoys gardening, rock climbing, and spending time with her two dogs and two cats.
Her goal is to help others view community cats with the same love and respect as our pet cats – while compassionately addressing the problems of cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return and rescue.
