Markanne Benich has always had a love for cats ever since she was little. Having cats and dogs growing up, she finally adopted a cat of her very own shortly after moving to Phoenix from Erie, PA in 2016.

She attended Baldwin Wallace University (just outside of Cleveland, Ohio) and graduated in 2012 with her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting/Mass Communications and Public Relations. She is currently a Restaurant Sales Coordinator at the JW Marriott at Camelback Inn in Scottsdale.

In her free time, she loves to spend time with her 4 cats: Matilda, Milo, Bambino, and Jack. She also loves going to concerts, hiking, road trips (preferably to the beach), and spending time with family. Markanne started volunteering at La Gattara in January of 2022 and is excited to be a part of such an amazing organization. She is looking forward to continuing La Gattara’s mission to help cats, the community, and the people who love and care for them.
