Shelby was born into a house full of cats which began her life-long love affair with all felines. When she was a child she found out she was allergic to cats, but nothing could separate her from her beloved family members. Thousands of allergy pills and years of immunotherapy shots later, she’s more in love with cats than ever. 

Upon moving to Phoenix, Shelby had to visit La Gattara Cat Cafe when she met the founders. After that first visit, Shelby knew La Gattara was truly special. She quickly adopted a bonded pair of cats who add so much joy and cattitude to her life. Shelby was blown away with the concept and mission of the cafe. She’s excited to be a part of the board, as she knows first-hand how much better her own life is because of La Gattara.
